wall_e[1].jpgWall-E is Qualit-E

Disney and Pixar's latest movie to hit the silver screen is none other than "Wall-E."  The film follows the story of a little robot that deals with garbage for a living, and due to a quirk in his system developed a personality.  The hilarity, drama, and five star excellence continues from there.

This is Wall-E

Wall-E is a robot who's main purpose is to clean up what I like to call "trash-ball Earth." He collects trash, puts it in his "tummy," coughs out a trash cube, and stacks it on top of other trash cubes to create beautiful giant trash towers. Sounds like the greatest job ever.... not.  But at least Wall-E manages to keep busy with his cockroach friend and maintain an affinity for collecting random junk from the garbage.   Also one must realize that other than the cockroach, Wall-E is alone and just wants to hold hands with someone; however all of that changes when a mysterious rocket blazes down from the heavens, dirty smog covered heavens to be specific, and what comes from that rocket will rock this sweet little robot's world.

What Led to My Seeing of Wall-E

Wall-E

When I first saw the preview for Wall-E I honestly thought it looked stupid.  I thought it was for the kiddies and that should I have to go to see it, I would fall asleep at the theater and end up taking a seven dollar nap.  It was then that I got a certain video game, "Super Smash Bros Brawl" to be specific, and in that certain video game there was a certain character that looked very, very, very similar to Wall-E.  Albeit for a stupid reason, my interest in the movie heightened.  Then after watching more previews of the film I couldn't help myself and my interest peaked - I had to see the latest film from Pixar.  After all I had seen all the others and hadn't been disspointed, why would I be let down this time?  It was then that I dragged all my friends to see it with me.  It was a bit of a funny situation seeing as all of us were sort of old, without revealing any information let me just say I am aged somewhere between 18-80. In other words we all remarked about how weird it was to be seeing the movie in our little "playgroup." We then got in our seats and watched the film....

...and it was Smashing!

So sweet

It turned to be one of the best movies I had seen in a long time.  Granted it was eye candy from the beginning, but what really hooked me in was the plot and the attention to detail the animators put in to the film.  There was little dialouge other than the saying of names for the most part, but through the visual expressions and tones conveyed by the film, even the tiniest child could figure out what was going on.  The emotional thrill ride the characters take you on with little dialouge was better than what most movies try to do with large speaking parts.  In a sense it was the lack of words at those critical moments that made the film so wonderful and imaginative.

My rating on a scale of one to ten:  I think I'm gonna need a bigger scale.
