If you're like me, you like music, you like playing your guitar and you like bargains. If you're also like me, you hate holiday shopping, holiday crowds, and holiday traffic. And did I mention the cost of gas?

I've found a web site that lets me take advantage of all the things I like and avoid all those holiday hassles I can do without.

Now I can get all the cool toys I've been wanting all year, and I can find musical gifts for my friends and family. And I never need to leave the house. For those hard-to-please people like my sister, I can even get a gift certificate and let her do her own shopping.

I work with a lot of the guys I jam with, so I can get drum stuff for Michael, bass guitar gear for Russell and keyboards for our keyboard wiz Martin. Everybody likes a guitar strap, instrument cable or an effect pedal in their stocking. And I can find something in just about any price range for the people on my list.

The prices are right in line for the world of music gear. And so far, I've been able to find everything I've wanted.

For those of you who may have budding -- or experienced -- musicians in your family, you can sort through all the products by category, price, popularity, brand or other ways that can help you narrow down your choices.

There's even a wishlist feature. So when you're ready to drop some heavy hints, just put those items on your list, print out a copy and leave your wishlist where your minister of finances can find it.

Wish me luck. This year I'll be hinting for a Gibson ES-339. It's their new semi-hollowbody git box that's sized in between a Les Paul and a standard hollow body electric guitar.
