Flyfishing Zest

Flyfishing in the Rockies! It just doesn't get much better than this. The scenery, the fresh air, mountain, etc. Just moved to Colorado a year ago and have always heard about how awesome the fishing is in the mountains. After being a bass fisher from the South my whole life I thought flyfishing would be for the birds; inferior to anything I'd ever experienced on the lakes of Alabama. Boy was I wrong!

I picked up a video lesson on how to cast a fly, proper technique, blah, blah, blah...Finally, I just decided to go buy some gear at Bass Pro and head for the mountains to see what all the fuss was about. Many tangled lines later and about to blow my fuse, I decided to make one last cast out along side of this large boulder in the stream and......PAY DIRT. I got a bite and understood, all of a sudden, why flyfishermen brag on their sport so much. I reeled in the fish and found how much of a fight those little fish put up. Great sport.
