Kids-London.jpgLondon 4 Kids!

Things to do with youngsters!

Some Ideas In London:

Everybody agrees: London is one of the best cities in the world. But it is also a crazy place, and visitors, especially families traveling with young kids, can become quite overwhelmed by all the things to see and to do. If you want to get the most out of your family trip to the capital of Britannia, it helps to have a plan.

See the British Museum. One of London’s top attractions is a place that kids love to visit, the British Museum. This collection includes historical objects from all over the world, including real mummies from ancient Egypt, and statues from ancient Greece. More than six million people visit this great museum every year.

Visit Buckingham Palace. This is one of the most popular sites in London, and is sure to impress even the most jaded child-traveler. When the old guard go off duty and are replaced by the new guard, the changing can be viewed through the railings – very impressive! The official residence of the British monarch, Buckingham Palace has more than 660 rooms.

Spend a day at the London Zoo. Even in a wild city like London, it is possible to find lions, tigers and bears. The London Zoo in Regent’s Park is a great place to take the family. A large family of lions thrives at the zoo. Ten cubs have been born in the past 15 years! Over 12,000 different creatures live in the zoo, and that doesn’t even include the visitors.

Plan Your Trip Ahead Of Time

Before heading off across the big ocean, it is best to do some reading about all of the sites to see.  Since time may be limited, it is best to create a plan - drafting an itinerary of where your family wants to go, and attempting to fit it in to the days you are in Londond.  Rick Steves', who some may know from his travel shows on PBS, has spent extensive time in Europe and all over the world.  He just may be the number one travel expert, and has a London travel book that is highly recommended.

If you want me to go to college first...better learn how to spell college!  Overall, good twist, though to be honest I prefer the Beatles and the Stones to the Clash-------

I went to London about 6 years ago and LOVED IT!  Unfortunately, I only got to spend a day and a half there.  My favorite?  Tower Bridge.  May be the best site in London...
